I am way over 18, I live in a little town of 900 people. The cool thing about my town is that Robert E. Howard use to live here. Every June we have a Barbarian Festival and we have people from all over the world come to our town to see where Robert use to live. His house has been made into a museum for people to visit and learn about him. If you would like to know more about Robert or Cross Plains here is a link http://www.crossplainstx.com/howard-museum If you ever come down this way let me know and I would love to take you to lunch!

I am over 18 and live in the US. I recently just adopted a new fur baby addition to our little family! She is a lab/american bull dog mix we named Kilala and is about 1 year old. She loves playing with her big brother Hulk who is also a black lab mix and about 3 years old and hoping she will soon get along with our cat Batman who is about 2 and a half years old.

No matter what kind of day I had at work they sure can melt away the day with their unconditional love. I absolutely love your books and the Otherworld series is my favorite! I love the sisters!

I am definitely over 18. And I am in New Mexico which though some don’t believe it it is definitely in the United States. My dog likes to lay on the bed in front of me and position herself right in front of the fan. She does this so that when she turns her head a bit the fan blows her ears back. Unfortunately the fan also blows the smell of her breathe and her farts behind her so they hit me.

Your writing is absolutely and skillfully enthralling as it whisks me away from a miserable and wretched life where all this problems constantly plague me. Your books becomes a set promise of better things, of a safe haven where I can run and hide from the troubles and stresses. Where I can hide from the anxiety and depression. Where I can truly be free, and for that my dear, no amount of appreciation or thanks could ever be enough, but it is all I have to offer. Thank you.

I am over 18, and live in Michigan. I’ve always loved to read. When I was a child, I used to climb a tree with an in one pocket of my hoody and a book in the other. It meant my Mother couldn’t find me to make me do anything, I could read in peace. My Grandpoppy used to tell my Mom to leave me alone, because I was reading. Funny what you remember, isn’t it?

I’m over 18 and live in the US. The best news for me recently is that both my younger sister and I have gotten out of abusive relationships, we lived 800 miles apart, and now we have our own place together and are raising her two girls. We work and live together and I’m happier than I have been in years. We celebrate our mom’s birthday on Halloween, she would have been 57 this year and this will be the first time my lil sis and I will be together to honor our mother since she passed. We are stronger together than we were when we were apart and we aim for the stars! Blessed be everyone!

I qualify based on all of the above requirements.
Your books helped me through college. While finishing up my final year I had to do my thesis and I just did not want to do it. I would go to the library to write and sit there reading your books. I started to think, what would Emerald do. That series was my introduction to your world and I loved how strong of a woman she was. She wouldn’t allow a paper to stand in her way and she would tell her kids to get it over with so that they can have fun. I finished my thesis, with breaks to read your books, and finished school. To this day I look back at those books and your Otherworldly books to give me strength when I feel overwhelmed. Thank you for letting me into your world. I am looking forward to you going Indi so that I can continue to enjoy the universe you created.

My kitty, Yuki was jumping from the couch to the end table. You already know that felines can be quite graceful. This was not one of those moments. There was a two inch gap and he somehow managed to lose his balance. I look over to see what if wrong based on the yowl he made. He was stuck in between with his cute little hiney and tail up in the air. We managed to help him, but I gotta say I was laughing so hard I was crying. Cassandra

My good news that will hopefully make you smile: My good friend has a special needs kitteh named Zeke.
He was born with hydrocephalus (water on the brain), as well as heart and numerous other health issues.
Tuesday , he underwent open heart surgery to save his life.
Zeke is 1-1/2 years old. He is such a fighter, and against near impossible odds, survived the surgery.
This little warrior is being discharged from the vet hospital today, and is going home to heal with his two hydro capable brothers, Hero and Milo.
I love knowing that Zeke (cute soul patch included) will live to cause shenanigans and spread love and inspiration for many days.
I love the people that pulled together in pushing healing to make this possible.
    Blessings.

I’m over 18 and I live in the US.

After over a year of struggling to do any sort of writing due to my chronic problems with depression, I’ve finally opened my novel and began to work on it again. I don’t know what happened, but the inspiration just began to come back and my brain felt like it wanted to be in that world. I have some tentative plans to work on it for NaNoWriMo, if I can keep up the desire– or discipline myself enough to keep going through slumps. There are still a couple months of the year left, so maybe I will finish the book before 2017!

Also, as a fun aside, I have a black cat too and every time I see Apple, I think of my Loki and smile. Black cats are special creatures.

I read Autumn Thorns after I went to your book signing in Seattle, my first book of yours and was instantly hooked! (Already finished the 2nd book and craving more) I just wanted to thank you. Books take me into a completely different realm, one of Piece and tranquility, especially when my life is going crazy. These books were simply what I needed. Just after that weekend at the bookshop, my grandpa passed away and I needed to go back to the Midwest for the service and to pretty much say goodbye to my grandma as well (she has cancer and not expected to live till Christmas). Usually I would be pretty emotional and a wreck, but when I started to feel that way I simply went and had a lil book therapy and escaped into Whisper Hollow. I can’t wait to dig into all your other books! Again thank you for, well just creating my beautiful realm and sanctuary.

I’m so excited. We’ve had some ups and downs but all in all we can’t be more blessed. Our daughter is going to be our “leaf” girl. Instead of flowers, she’s throwing fake leaves. ☺ My sister is my maid of honor and my brother is standing on my side as well. Lol Dave’s (my fiance) sister is his best woman (she’s 15 and so excited he asked her to stand by his side). And his cousin is his other groomsman. It’s a little unconventional but Dave and I never really follow all the rules. Lol I’m hoping to make him tear up walking down the aisle. I’m walking down to a song that means something to both him and I instead of the typical wedding March, and I’m a little nervous. My dad is pysically disabled so I can’t wait to have him walk me down the aisle. My mom has been a savior in helping out. She’s more of the momzilla though. Lol πŸ™‚ There is so much to be thankful for and to be happy about. I can’t wait. πŸ™‚ Good luck to all the contestants. πŸ™‚

I have a beautiful solid black cat called HOBO who is a solid 15+ lbs. He was found on the side of a highway a little tiny thing but he sleeps on my arm every night. I slept a little longer yesterday but he was tired of that and ready for his breakfast, since not eating for 8 hours, and woke me by first walking across my side with all 4 feet, then across the top of my pillow while mewing pitifully, like the baby he once was, he then resorts to taping gently on my head and finally in total desperation he bit my ear! To top off this tail he of course was purring the entire time and that’s where he gets the nickname Lovey Dovey.

My Six year old Goddaughter Genesis came to me and asked me if I would help her with something when I was babysitting her this past weekend. She took me out to her parents backyard and showed me a box with two black and orange baby kitties. One had a missing eye, she told me she wanted to find them a home but did not want her parents to know what she was doing. I convinced her to let me take them to the ASPCA for a quick check up, and when we did we found out that despite being abandoned a little bit malnurished. They were happy and healthy once they got the all clear, the vets and workers at the ASPCA praised Genesis for caring for the kitties. We told her parents and they were so impressed with what she did they let her keep one of the kitties, she named him One-Eye Jack (I know!) That made me warm and giggly all week.
