So I am visibly off Twitter lately, and a lot off Facebook–even my private profile, I’m not there talking to friends as much. You see, over the past month, I’ve discovered one important thing for my writing: when I’m out online, hanging out on Twitter and Facebook a lot, I get over exhausted and don’t focus as well. When I’m seldom there, I write SO MUCH BETTER and I have time for a life outside of it. Well, mostly. So, writing is going to win and about the only time you’ll see me on Twitter is when my blog links post over there, and maybe on weekends for a limited time. I do realize that Twitter is for interaction, and have always been a big proponent of that, but unfortunately, I just don’t have the energy to go around everywhere now.

Marc will post some of the blog links and all of the announcements on Facebook. And I will still answer comments here on the blog as much as possible. Hell, I’ve even taken to not answering any of my friends on IM (yes I am on there, no I do not allow anybody but close friends access to me that way) or email until later in the day or on weekends because it interrupts the flow of my thoughts and takes me a lot longer to get my work done and I’m tired of being tired.

On to book news: Autumn Thorns is available for pre-order on Amazon! And I am finding that this series is sucking me into

the world in a way that nothing since I began Otherworld did. I have gone spiraling down the rabbit hole into it in my dreams–last night, I dreamed about The Crow Man and the Morrígan and Kerris (who is my heroine), and about the dead waking and not wanting to stay in their slumbering graves. I also dreamed that there were Whisper Hollow figurines on Amazon! *grins*

Be aware and just so you know: there are no zombies in this book the way you normally think of them. No shambling mounds, so to speak, no zombie apocalypse. This world I’m creating exists in a realm of ghosts and haunts, of spirits and entities and creatures that live right at the edge of our dimension. Of magic that interweaves itself into daily life.

Whisper Hollow has me by the throat, it would seem, so much so that everywhere I turn, all I seem to see are images from this new world I’m creating. I haven’t had that happen since the early days of Otherworld, which I take as a good sign.

So, one week from today Panther Prowling will be out. I hope to have more news from you by then whether I will be putting out more OW books with Berkley, or whether it will be on my own. Cross fingers for me. ~smiles~ Cheers for now—time to work.

    Fingers crossed about Otherworld news.
I understand the energy drain that comes with interaction even fun interactions for I am the same way. Protect your writing time and your energy. Wishing you many blessings.

I’m actually so much happier and getting so much more done–and not just work–when I don’t hang around on social media as much. I get FUN things done too.

I have noticed that too with social media. Trying to “keep up” is an insane notion. Tumblr is my temporal black hole these days and I’ve had to learn it is okay to “miss” things.

It’s become too much. Just too much. I gave up my Tumblr and Pinterest because I just couldn’t handle so many things.
