I’m on deadline. I’m trying to finish the book either today or tomorrow. It’s running longer than usual, and today was the deadline. My editor knows it will a bit late but to keep on track with the next book, I need to get this one done. It just doesn’t want to end.  I’ve been working long hours for days now.

Apple walked on my surge protector today and shut off my computer. I was all:

That is why I have auto save set to every minute.

Okay then, back to work. The snippet from Flight From Death will be up in a day or so. Tell me something that makes me smile, okay?  🙂

That’s one way to learn how to keep your tech safe from cats, I suppose. My Munkus did the same thing to me when I was working on the computer, though like you, I didn’t lose any significant work. I can’t blame him for trying to ‘help,’ at least he wasn’t yowling like the customer who’s commission I was working on at the time!

What makes me smile is reading about everyone’s cats! I get a kick out of reading about the crazy, silly thing they do! I miss having a furry baby, so I’m living through you guys. Love the “boogie board” comment! My last cat, Rifkin, would have done the same thing. Not to mention turning off surge protectors/ power strips. Her favorite thing was to plop down on the book/newspaper/notebook I was trying to read/write in (while lying on the floor). That got to be really annoying while I was trying to do homework! I’d move her and she’d come right back! I had to find a toy to distract her with so she’d leave me alone for a minute. Her favorite toys were rings from milk jugs, though ice cubes dropped from the freezer door would work too. Ice hockey kitty style. Anything she could “bat” really.

Apparently Apple was trying to “help” you. Our cat Rudy does that. Today I was sitting right where he likes to snooze. I got up to get coffee, came back and my place had been taken! Of course, he was sound asleep so could I wake him, of course not! Our ‘kids’, so cute they run our lives and we love it.

I got a new carpet runner in my hallway, and one of my cats is using it like a boogie board.

Oh, that is so my Clayton! Any new thing that comes into the house is automatically his latest toy! Cats are such loving fun!
