Yes, I know I didn’t get the Year in My Yard post up yesterday. That’s because we have a horrendous inversion layer with heavy, dense, freezing fog and it’s triggering my asthma even when I stay inside, so I’m not about to go outside till tomorrow when it’s supposed to be gone. It needs to lift. We need rain and wind. I need air in my lungs.

Along the same lines, had another food allergy reaction yesterday. Benadryl to the rescue. This past year, I feel like I’ve kept them in business. No, I don’t know what to–I rather think it was a bad intolerance issue, though the symptoms were more food allergy. Tingling lips. Tingling nose. Itchy scalp and a few hives. Sam was at the gym when I started to notice it. I decided I’d better call him.

Conversation went something like this:

Me: Can you come home?
Sam: What’s wrong?
Me: My lips are tingling and I think I’m having a reaction–
Sam: I’m on my way. I’ll be home.
Me: I thought I’d better call you. I’m taking Benadaryl.
Sam: I’m on my way.

When he got home it concluded with:

Me: I’m sorry I had to interrupt your workout–
Sam: I’m glad you did.

I have a tendency to not want to bother people when I get sick. It could be dangerous in the case of my allergies/reaction. As to what triggered it? I have no clue. But it happened right after I ate one of my chocolate nut clusters and TBH, it’s been quite awhile since I’ve had walnuts. I also remembered a dream I had Saturday night where I was eating what I thought was coconut milk ice cream, and suddenly realized I’d been served regular ice cream. I started to panic as the reaction was setting in. I hazily remember waking up from the dream panicking that I had used Sam’s chocolate chips (he eats the ones with dairy) by accident in the nut clusters, but then realized no, I didn’t…so I think my body was warning me to be cautious. Too bad it wasn’t warning me what to be cautious of.

Lastly, I am working on a sekrit project for you guys…a little holiday surprise (though not holiday themed). You’ll know more soon.

I’m so tired right now. The Benadryl knocked me into a heavy, heavy sleep yesterday afternoon for three solid hours, and I probably should have just let myself sleep more, but I didn’t. Then my asthma kicked in last night…tonight? Well, at 6:30 AM I guess last night works, and I haven’t really slept most of the night. My sleep schedule is so screwed up. But hey…it could be worse.

Sam must be a wonderful and truly caring, loving person. I’m so sorry you suffer from so many allergies and asthma but still take time to share so much of your life and talent with us, your fans. I hope the weather improves quickly and you feel better soon.

Your Sam is a sweetheart and of course he rushed right home to check on you! Just so glad you are Ok. It has to be difficult to need such care in what you eat. I’m so glad you are aware and take care of yourself!

Air would be good. So would dreams that tell you what to be wary of so you could avoid it. Hugs and Love! Feel better soon!

I don’t have much food allergies, but I know how bad asthma can be, and how tired it makes you. So on top of your medication, it would knock you out. I hope December will treat you better Yasmine.

Well crummy buttons! I’ll bet all the wood smoke doesn’t help. I’m allergic to resins in wood and all these fires in fireplaces make my chest soooo tight…get some sleep and get well.

My asthma is acting out latest, too. I blame it on the weather. It’s getting cold here in Michigan and snowing and raining. That always makes it harder to breathe. I hope you’re feeling better soon. I am excited to discover what the secret is! Can’t wait!

I agree with everyone else – chronic stuff can be difficult to take. And relying on other people (especially when you have to interrupt them) is hard for me, too. I’m glad you called Sam. Feel better soon!

I understand not wanting to bother even your most loved ones when your body isn’t cooperating…when my fibromyalgia gets so bad I can’t get out of bed, my fiance will play fetch for me. I’m used to being independent and you can’t, it’s truly frustrating. I look forward to your surprise, but most importantly please and let your kitties love on you! Blessings to you!

Hugs Yasmine. Chronic health problems can really take a toll, emotionally and physically. Right now I just want to stay in bed, but 4 kitties would be very upset about not getting breakfast.
I hope you can get the rest you need.
    Blessings

My sympathies. I hate bothering anyone when I’m not feeling well, too! My body, I should call with it. And my asthma has been unhappy recently, so I feel you.

Hope you’re feeling better soon! Really hope this frigid cold either decides to dump snow on us or goes away soon!
