I am watching Lord of the Rings this past week. Fellowship, then Two Towers. Today–Return of the King. I’m also marathoning Harry Potter. And you know what? They make me remember my first loves in the world of books: fantasy. I grew up on SF and Fantasy…and all my goals were focused on becoming an SF/Fan writer. And in writing urban fantasy, well…I’ve achieved that. Though now, I have a yen to write fantasy worlds…to write tales of adventure and mayhem and fantastical worlds. Maybe I do this already…but I want to take it further.

Anyway, just a thought for today. I turn 55 next month. A scary age, in some ways, in others–well–it’s just one more day on the belt. Regardless of my age, I am who I am, I am what I am, and I’ll just continue being…me.

I always loved Fantasy/Science Fiction as a child and got away from reading it while at University and young adulthood – it is great to get back into it.

I had no idea that we are so near the same age! I turned 55. Last June. Your photos make you appear much younger than I.

I’m much more a fan of fantasy, some sci-fi is just so darned weird. However, if you write it, I’ll read it. You’re on my short list of authors that are an automotive buy. I’m also a Witch and I became a fan from reading your Pagan books. “Embracing the Moon” is still my absolute fave of the entire genre.

Also, a strange coincidence; my granddaughter (age 9), my daughter-in-law, and I have also been binge watcing the “Harry Potter” series, and my granddaughter, my son and I are watching the LOTR series! Synchronicity!!

I love LOTR, too. Right now I’m watching the Hobbit movies &loving them. As far as age goes, sometimes I feel about 16 & other times I feel about 100 (I’m 63). You just have to keep on keeping on. Lol!

I have always loved reading and watching fantasy. I remember reading the Lord of the Rings trilogy and carrying the paperback books around in junior high school. I turned 62 on Sunday and truly believe that age is just a number. While at times my body rebels on me, my brain is still young. Reading, quilting and staying mentally active is very important to me. I absolutely love all your books. They challenge me and I love that. They entertain me and take me out of the sometimes dreary world we live in. Thank you so much for sharing your gift with us.

I believe that no matter what you write it will be great. You have a way with words.
On your birthday, I turned 59 this year, I feel no different than I did at 55 or 50. Well a little slower sometimes, and falling apart, as I write this I am in a hospital bed from having my thyroid out, but it’s part of life. My grandkids keep me going.

I would love to read a sf/f written by you. I have a passion for epic fantasy. Science fiction is a close second.

Some of my favorite marathon movies. One of my friends who is the same age as I am told the other women in our ballet class that together we equal 100. That was kind of a shocker. Mostly I just do my normal stuff and don’t think about it much.

I love those movies too! I think age is a state of mind and if you don’t mind, it doesn’t matter. In my head and heart I’m in my 30’s! đŸ™‚
