So my site is back up—along with my blog. But be aware, the blog archives will be imported slowly, over time, since we have eight years of them to add in and right now, finishing the site is more important. Not all books are listed yet, but they will be by the end of this week, and we still have some tweaking here and there to finish, but it feels good to see the site up and going, and now it’s fully mobile for all of you who read on your phone.

Update on books! FURY RISING will be out either this week or next—it’s at my editor’s now, and my beta readers LOVED it, so I’m hoping that you will too. The print version will take longer to get out. Samwise starts work next week (thank the gods, he was able to find a job!), and since he’s the one working on my site, the print version will have to wait until he can learn the formatting. But it will be available for Kindle, Nook, iTunes, and Kobo. I plan on releasing the second book—FURY’S MAGIC—in November.

Then, in August, FLIGHT FROM MAYHEM will be out, the second Fly By Night book. SHADOW SILENCE, the second Whisper Hollow book will be available in late September. I have two short stories coming out in October in indie anthologies—more info on those as it comes—and then in November, FURY’S MAGIC. I’m planning to release the next Otherworld book—MOON SHIMMERS—in January (a Camille book).

I’m getting situated so that my indie scheduled release days are getting closer to the actual day I am able to get them out. I won’t be doing preorders until I have my new rhythm down, though, because it can backfire bad if you miss a date.

You should know that while SOULJACKER will still be released through Diversion next year, I will be indie publishing the rest of the Otherworld Series. Plans change, and there were just scheduling difficulties, so I opted to do them myself.

I also have gotten the rights back to all my nonfiction and will be releasing my own versions over the next year or so, as well as the rights back to my Chintz ‘n China and Bath and Body mysteries. Again, I’ll be re-releasing these myself over the next year.

I spent the past few days organizing my schedule for what I want to write over the next couple years, and I have a lot of wonderful ideas and plans. I have done a lot of thinking over the past six months, and have opted to go indie full-time, rather than just putting one foot in the door. After twenty years in the business professionally (yes, I got my first contract twenty years ago), I’m ready to try things MY way.

And yes, it does mean that my focus will be in e-publishing, because the print versions are a lot more costly for my readers (a lot), but on that same vein, you guys will be getting the e-versions (of my indie work) at a substantially better price. (And you can always get free kindle and nook apps for your computer/phone/tablet—I actually use the Kindle app a lot more than I ever use my Kindle, to be honest). I know this distresses some of you a lot, and I am sorry, but this is just the way it’s going to have to be for me now. With bookstores cutting shelf space for books, you probably are already finding my books with Berkley aren’t shelved very much anymore—a lot of authors are losing shelf space and books are staying on the shelf for a lot shorter time periods. So ordering online is getting to be almost a necessity for a number of titles.

So that’s what’s happening—a lot of changes, but honestly? I think I’m going to be a lot happier, and I hope you guys enjoy the journey with me.

I’m excited as most of my time at this point is sitting and waiting at appointments, and kid things,so buying books on Kindle is more productive and less space for all I read.. thanks and look forward to see your adventures

It’s awesome that you’re continuing on in Indie. Yes, I do admit to missing physical copies of books, but I don’t mind that much… My own shelf space on my bookshelves is quite limited and being filled up with too much manga. Can’t wait to see where you go with the rest and am looking forward to Fury Rising.

I was looking at your book/series page, and I noticed you haven’t any of your earlier books/series listed.
Is there a reason for that? I was looking for the names of the books, and/or series, as I would like to read them.

Is there is list of your earlier books somewhere else? I remember it being here before update to site.

Thanks for any Help, as I would love to read those books/series

Can’t wait to read “Fury Rising.” I’m also looking forward to getting the Chintz ‘n China series on my Kindle I’ve gone completely to my Kindle for books. I have to give away a ton of books because I had no more room in my house! So I’m looking forward to getting those books back in e-form.

Whisper Hollow, I will be continuing on my own. I will have to see how my schedule works with Fly By Night, but I do want to write more books in it eventually.
