You say you develop the characters in your head. How do you keep track of their personality traits? So that you don’t in error add a trait to the incorrect character? Even with the supporting characters? Hope these questions make sense

For me, I know the characters inside out–they’re all very distinct to me. I don’t add traits to them, they just…are who they are. Basically, I get out of the way and let the characters be themselves rather than try to make them into a character I want. I suppose my advice is to spend time with the character, when they appear, ask them questions, get a feel for what they’re like. I never have characters fully fleshed out before I write–they grow through the books.

Thanks for answering my questions. You are the only author I have come across where the characters develop and grow making them feel so real.some other authors seem to forget as the series increases. One in particlar seems to have forgotten the main character can cook ,now up to book fourteen the author has the character unable to cook a meal, little things like that turn a reader off.I just want say thanks you sound like you genuinely care about each and everyone of your characters. I appreciate you for that.Stay awesome
