Autumn Candy

Yes! Brain Candy Friday is back! Today, I’m thinking about autumn and how much I love it, and how thrilled I am that it’s September. My favorite parts? All of it–the wind and the mist and the rains…well, maybe not the spiders but hey, they are part of the season. So, what’s your favorite part of the season? Is it decorating for Fall or for Samhain (or Halloween)? Is it the crispness of the air? Is it the cool down in temps? Tell me! 🙂

I love Autumn with the leaves changing and the cooler weather. Plus Apple picking time, apple cider donuts and all the fun we have when we go out to do that. 🙂

I love autum0n! I always look forward to the cooler temps, but my favorite thing by far is decorating for Halloween! I have lots of decorations, but I always get new things every year.

I like the cooler weather that hasn’t hit too cold or too warm. Plus the fact that if I chop down the annoying blackberries that keep attempting to take over my backyard during the fall and winter, I have a chance of winning the battle… Still waging the particular war.

I love Autumn… The cooler temleratures, the crisp smell in the air, the leaves, making campfires and staring into them ~ it’s all so magical Can’t forget baking pumpkin seeds!
I’ve had my Samhain decorations and altar decorated since August.
Love sitting outside in the morning with my tea, and appreciating the dew on the grass, and the chill in the air.
It’s a highly sensory time of year for me, and one of my favorite times of the year.

Yes, ‘highly sensory’ is a good way to put it–it’s my favorite season. Everything is in transition and moving.

I’ve already set out some of my Autumn decorations, even though the temps don’t really show it yet. Next month I can’t wait to put out all my Halloween decorations. The neighborhood kid love to come by during the month just to look at the yard.

Halloween and all of the decorations. I also am looking forward to it cooling off a little. It has been unseasonably hot for this time of the year. I enjoy Autumn and all of the colorful trees and of course, the mums.

Autumn is my favorite season. I love everything about it-especially PUMPKIN ANYTHING. Decorating with it, baking it, etc. Black cats are also in abundance, although my two are sable and cream, and an orange tabby. The dogs have their harvest colors on their collars. They be styling, lol. The cooler temperature is welcome, and we enjoy sitting outside without the intense summer heat of southern Indiana. I miss western Washington, but it’s nice here, too.

I love all of it too! Even the spiders, I have 2 orb weavers on my side porch I’ve encouraged to stay. They keep the bugs away from me and I don’t let people bother them. It’s really the whole season, for some reason I’m more alive this time of year than any other. I’ve always been this way, even as a little kid. Just can’t have the Carmel apples anymore but I have my candles so I still get the smells
