Good morning, Peeps! How are you doing?

It’s looking to be another hot day here (laugh if you want, but 80 degrees is HOT for our area). I’m so looking forward to autumn, so much that I’m putting up my Autumn Sabbat tree today, I believe. The rest of the autumn decorations will wait until September 1st, but I need a touch of autumn in my life.

So, ICYMI: I created a page (thanks to mah good friend Mandy Roth’s inspiration) called State of the Series. I’ll keep it updated each month, and there you can find out the state of your favorite series, what’s going on–or not going on–with it, etc.. It’s so much easier than having Jenn answer all the questions on all the series.

Witching Time CoverI’m speeding through the writing of WITCHING TIME, and having a lot of fun with the book. There will be a break after it comes out, for the first three BLOOD QUEEN books, but then we’ll be back to Ember and Herne.

I’m rather excited about trying KU–while I’m still a bit skeptical, I’m hoping that it will prove a win-win for both my readers and me. I’m holding an open mind about it.

You’ll notice a number of other changes over the next few months–some subtle, some not so subtle, but all with the end goal of amping up my readership, engaging a wider audience, and branching out in different directions. I’ve been indie now four years as of last month, I have a handle on it, and now it’s time to kick it into a higher gear. What does that mean? A lot of business stuff for me, for you–just that I hope to keep you in plenty of books to read!

And I have to say, four years after putting out my first full length indie novel (FURY RISING)…I’m glad things shook out this way. I’m grateful that my ex-publisher and I imploded…because I am so much happier than I was. Sometimes things do happen for a reason, and sometimes things that seem scary or bad at the time–turn out to have a golden surprise tucked inside. Cheers and have a great week!

I love this idea! I can check on a series status without having to stress over remembering. I can’t wait for your new series. ❤

State of the Series is a great idea. I just checked to see the status of the various series’ that I read.

My daughter and son-in-law live in Lynnwood and they feel the same way about temperatures. I, on the other hand, live just north of San Jose, CA so low 80’s are comfortable for me–great walking weather.

I usually read paperbacks but if you’re going to put some books out on Kindle, I’m going to look into purchasing one. I don’t want to miss any of your stories.

I *love* State of the Series! I’ll check there rather than whining about when another book in ‘_______’ (fill in the series) is coming.

I hear you about not liking 80 degree days. The sky is beautiful when the days are sunny. But mostly, I would rather see overcast days with temps at 65. One thing I’ve noticed in the past week is that evenings cool a bit quicker now.

Next year, I’m going to try for an extended stay at Ocean Shores (or Westport).

Will you post pics of your Autumn Sabbat tree?
