Answering Reader Questions

Hey! Time for a round of Reader Questions again!

Three of you asked similar questions so answering them all here:

I’m not sure if this has been answered or not but do we think we will ever find out if Raven ‘saves’ the ferrets?
What happened to Bart the Maine Coon in the Night Myst books?
What happened to Hans’ dog after Hans died in battle?

So, here’s the deal: with Bart and Hans’, since those series are over and I didn’t write further in them, all I can say is this: don’t worry about the furbles. They’re safe and happy. Unless there’s a freaking damned good reason, I will not hurt the pets in my books. They may at times be in danger, but I promise–they will be all right. If not, there will be a Very Good Reason–and even then, I’ll think twice about it.

With Raven and the ferrets: since there are spinoffs of the series ongoing with cameos of the original crew, well, I can’t answer that because it may come up in a future book. 🙂

Curious if you have a connection to Finland as often a lot of characters have connections to there?

Yes, I do but in a spiritual sense. I work with the Finnish gods in my magickal/spiritual practice, and feel their presence constantly. So it’s no surprise they pop into my books, whether in recognizable form, or hidden in a character.

Ms. Galenorn talks a lot about Finnish mythology. Does she have any books to recommend?

Here’s the thing: most of Finnish mythology came down through an oral tradition. Your primary focus should first be the Kalevala. Most of the references I’ve read over the years are no longer available but there are several good YouTube channels talking about Finnish mythos, and other websites. Do a deep dive into Google. 😉

Suggestion for Ms Meissner, download the kindle app to your phone and read from there. I’m going through a financial dry spot and I’m having to wait to get my computer fixed and my last ereader died, so I’m looking around for a new tablet. Mean while I can read with the kindle app on my phone.

    Hello
    Big Fan
I don’t own an ereader. Computer reading for long periods hurts my eyes. So my question : Will you have tangled sky and tattered thorns as paperbacks? I so want to continue the wild hunt adventures. Thank you.

Not in the foreseeable future. It’s a novella and too short to put into print. Tattered Thorns will be in print.
