Amazon is reducing royalties on print books priced lower than $9.99 (indie print books). Since my novellas are priced lower than that, I can do one of three things:

I can wait and gather future novellas into a boxed set but that may take time given I’d have to write 2-3 novellas for one series before doing that. (This means I’d put out 2-3 novellas in one print book at regular price).

I can raise print prices on novellas (I’ll be doing this for the novellas already out in print)

I can choose to not put out novellas in print.
I’m probably going to opt for the first choice for future novellas, because I really don’t like pricing print novellas higher than I already do, but the reduction in royalties will hurt my bottom line.
Just an FYI. (And no, don’t suggest going through Ingram Spark for print–I choose not to for several reasons).

I know you like to price fairly, but I want you to know that I would happily pay the $10.00 requirement for novellas. I value your work. Yours is one of the few authors that I purchase in multiple formats. If it would keep you comfortably writing the stories I have fallen in love with (and many, many others too) I am happy to pay the increase. I will be adjusting my book budget (who needs fruit anyway, wink wink) since so many authors are being impacted by this new challenge from Amazon.
