June Update

Happy June and a Blessed Summer Solstice to you!

Yeah, I know we’re halfway through the month already, but I have been so busy this past two weeks that I’ve barely had a chance to breathe.

I’m recovering from the mad dash to finish the last book–though I have to tell you that I’m extremely proud of Shadow Dreaming, and I had so much fun writing it.

Now, I’m actually caught up and I’m working on the Feathered Web novella that comes out in late July. If I can keep on track (and I have given myself a schedule that I should be able to keep to), all should be well and I will be a happy camper.

So I have a lot of plans coming this summer.

One: I’m going to be revamping the tiers on my Patreon:

The Moon Minion $10 tier (and the tiers above it) will include early access to a LitRPG project I’m starting.

I will be putting two chapters a week on my Patreon as an early access feature under that tier. The first five chapters will be open for everyone to read to see if they like it enough to subscribe.

I will also be posting groups of these chapters on Amazon as an ongoing serial.

And then eventually, for those who don’t want to read in serial format, I will gather all the chapters together into a book.

I’m hoping to keep this project going for several years, because I love to game and it occurred to me that, hell yes!–I can write some fun stuff you guys. It may not be typical LitRPG, but it will be LitRPG with my twist.

I will be revamping some of the other tiers a little bit too in order to fit in the new project.

My second bit of book news is this: I will be putting the paranormal women’s fiction on hold for a while (not forever–it will come back when I’ve had a sufficient break from it).

I’ll be focusing on my urban fantasy: continuing the Shadow Blade series, and revisiting the Starlight Hollow series. I’m looking forward to writing about Elphyra and Fancypants again, and I love — absolutely love — writing the Shadow Blade series.

I’m also planning out a long-term project, which probably won’t start until late next year. This will be focused on writers & intuitive writing.

I want to remind all my readers that I have a free tier on my Patreon where you can always get all updates.

We’re not doing much with my Facebook group anymore because the algorithms are so abysmal that hardly anybody ever sees my posts. When I have over 2500 readers on my Facebook group and only a couple hundred see each post, well, it’s ridiculous. I have over 14,000 followers on my Facebook page and–again–only a handful ever see my posts.

So as I’ve said before, I’m bringing the majority of posts over to my Patreon and my newsletter.

Oh! I almost forgot! I’m thrilled to announce that I have a new direct store. I found a storefront that will be easier to manage, and we now have links back up to my books that are available there. As before, they’ll come through BookFunnel.

So this is just a lot of news today, and I hope you’re all doing well. Sam and I and the kitties are all fine, and hoping to make it through the summer without an excess of heat (you know I’m an autumn woman at heart!).
