full moon under the night winter sky

The Full Moon this month will be on December 18th, 8:35 PM Pacific Time, in Gemini.

The Holly Moon, as my tradition calls December’s full moon, helps bring the calendar year to a end. It’s the last gasp moon, and over the past couple years, I’m planning to use this month’s full moon to let go of some of the stress and fear, and pave the way for a new year.

Last year, we were all hopeful of the pandemic winding down, and some people think it has, but the variants have brought worse numbers than last year, and even though the vaccine is here, there are a lot of people who could have it, who refuse. So, Covid rages on, mutating and shifting.

Instead of looking toward next year as ‘I hope the pandemic’s over’, I plan to look at it as “What do I want to accomplish despite the fact that we’ve still not reached our new normal?” with an eye that things will still be rocky. So what do I want to do, what can I get done, and what ideas can I implement without too much stress?

Also: Because the Full Moon is in Gemini, I am paying attention to inspiration, because it may strike and strike hard, and I’m watching relationships, because Gemini is a push-pull type energy and from everything I’ve read, it could cause some discontent.

For this Holly Moon, I’m also preparing for the Solstice.

The Solstice this year is all about preparation for the coming year, transitions, and reexamining our choices and commitments. So yes, it’s time for a lot of introspection the next week–in fact, through the end of the year.

After a year of nasty surprises, like open heart surgery and other major changes for our household. I am looking forward to some quiet
    Down time.
    Blessings love & light

Merry Holly Moon in Gemini to you!
I agree ~ this is definitely time for introspection on a few levels.
I see myself continuing to recover from 2 almost back to back surgeries, and most importantly, find our lost kitten Merlin, who has been lost for 10 weeks.
Our home and family are not the same without him.
    Brightest Blessings.
