I’m asked over and over if reviews really help sell books, and whether it’s better to just ‘rate’ a book, or leave a review. The truth is, for indie authors, reviews help. They don’t necessarily sell a ‘lot of books’ but they help readers discern whether or not they might be interested in an author. And they can also play into an indie author being able to buy certain forms of advertising. Some sites will not let you advertise a book without a certain number of good reviews (good review in this case = 4 or 5 Stars).
Now, I’m NOT going to tell you: LEAVE ME A REVIEW! That’s your choice. But, if you have a mind to, a good review can make quite a difference for authors. And good reviews do not include spoilers. *grins* So, if you love my books, please consider leaving me a good review on Amazon or Goodreads, especially. I’d be very appreciative!
(Obviously, I’m NOT going to ask you to leave me a review if you’re meh or hate my work–that would be stupid of me. I won’t tell you DON’T LEAVE ME A BAD REVIEW either, but I’m not soliciting bad press, LOL).
