YAY! Today’s the re-release day for SHADOW SILENCE. So few people found my Whisper Hollow series the first time around that it’s almost like having brand new books come out. Like Autumn Thorns, I cut out 11,000 words from this book–again, the plot’s mostly the same, but I tightened it up to make it flow into THE PHANTOM QUEEN.

Whisper Hollow, where spirits walk among the living, and the lake never gives up her dead…
Fifteen years ago, I ran away from Whisper Hollow, Washington, a small town on Crescent Lake in the Olympic Peninsula. But truth is, if you were born here, you can never really leave. I’m Kerris Fellwater, and I’m a spirit shaman. It’s my responsibility to drive the dead back to their graves, because around Whisper Hollow, people-and secrets-don’t always stay buried.
My best friend Peggin finds herself under a curse after she is almost taken by the Lady of the Lake. As Bryan-my guardian and mate-and I work to break the hex, we stumble over a dark and violent mystery from the past. One the Hounds of Cú Chulainn will do anything to stop us from bringing to light.
I love this series and am so glad you were able to get the rights to it and continue the story.
It must be painful to have to cut so much but I am sure the “trimming” will still be brilliant.
Actually, it wasn’t painful at all. I like trimming the excess and cutting what feels like it bogs down the story. I was happy to have the chance, actually, and to make it feel more like my writing now. The only irritating thing about it was the time spent weeding through it and realizing how much tighter and stronger my work I’m writing now is compared to then.
Love this series. So many great characters.
Work graveyard so I snuck off at midnight to download♀️ then started reading
Enjoying it so much.
Blessings,
