I am over 18 and live in Washington/USA. If I had the opportunity to spend time with one of your indie characters, it would be Emerald O’Brien. I am a collector of antique china, I love teas and tisanes, and I have a special bond with Emerald because my ancestors also play a special role in my craft. I would absolutely love to visit the Chintz ‘n China Tea Room (and ask for some of Emerald’s soup recipes) but I don’t think Emerald would relish a girls day spent in her store where various tasks and customers would draw her attention. I think I’d like us to visit Seattle’s Queen Mary Tea Room for breakfast followed by a trip out to Snoqualmie for a day of light walking/exploring and then enjoy an early dinner and some damn fine coffee and cherry pie at the Salish Lodge’s Attic restaurant. I also hear the Lodge has an awesome spa so a spa visit might factor in after dinner. Additionally, at some point, I assume Emerald would want to check out the Falls gift shop to find cool souvenirs for Kip and ‘Randa.
I would have to pick Peggin. And we would go cloths shopping. I like the way she dresses. I am over 18, and live in Maine.

I am 42 and live in the Southern part of the US. My favorite character is Kerris Fellwater. To me, some of the best characters do one thing professionally, but have to do the opposite personally. Kerris does this. Though her job is the put the dead back in their place, she will work with them if it is needed, including saving lives. She is a rich and fun character.

They both had a lot of trauma being separated from their owners, and as a humane society volunteer I work with cats in the same situation. A lot of petting, snuggling, and treats, virtual or real, would be a perfect day.

I’d have to choose Maddy; first just because the B&B is where I’ve always wanted to live or even just visit. Second, (and most importantly) because Maddy fearlessly leads from her heart always and accepts people as they are. She also has been hurt, betrayed, all that and is so strong from it all- that she can have a good time and be herself no matter what is happening around her.
I’d love to spend part of the day playing tourist with Maddy showing me her favorite place to be alone and watch the ocean. Then we’d just hang around the house talk, laugh, drink then have a party with all her friends. Thank you!

However I would have to say Maddie because I love her party attitude and her fierceness in protecting those she loves. I’ll be having my dirty thirty this year! I’ve lived in 10 states, I’m currently in Arkansas. I would pick Raven. I love that she knows just who she is. I get the feeling she would fit right in with my friends and I. Shes outspoken, stands her ground, and knows who she is, but continues to grow into herself. She loves her critters and when she makes promises she keeps them. Or does her damndest to keep them. She seems to help out those that she can. These are all reasons why I’ve picked her. I just like her vibe. As to what we would do.. we would probably have a get together with all of our close friends. We would have a potluck barbecue and maybe drink a few. Have lighthearted conversations while everyone was here. About our animals, daily lives, work and so on. Then after some folks have left and its dying down, most likely stay up late having the deep conversations that you have to really get to know someone, the religions, aliens, other dimensions, beliefs, goals and plans. The conversations would come easily flowing from one to the other.
