So today’s a sucky day in some ways–mostly that I have been interrupted constantly this morning. But it’s all stuff that needed dealt with and so, yeah, deal with it. I have the lawn care guys here trimming our beautiful massive trees. The neighbor, who lives in what we call Frankenhouse (there’s a REASON we call it Frankenhouse–they bought the place, built a massive structure ON TOP of a house that wasn’t that stable and then moved about four families into what’s supposed to be a single residence). Anyway, so they wanted to have our trees trimmed on their side of the property line, but they wanted so much cut off it would A) endanger the trees and B) unbalance the trees so the first good wind they’d be apt to fall over.ย I told them NO…and I’m forking out extra money to have our lawn care guys do the job RIGHT. At times like this, I wish our 1/4 acre was a full one.

So work has been sporadic this morning. Plus, I’m finishing up a takeover in a friend’s Facebook group and yeah, that’s been distracting me And so on. It’s just one of those weeks, it feels like. Ya know?

Today Sam gets his first dose of the vaccine. I can’t have it, not at this point (due to my MCAS), so we’ll see how things go. I wish I could. I hate having to rely on others to protect me by them getting it. But that’s the case for a number of chronic conditions.

I am looking forward to spring, right now. I could use some growing flowers and big green leaves. ๐Ÿ™‚ย  How’s your week been? Hectic? Good? Tell me what’s going on! ๐Ÿ™‚

I won’t bore you with the work angst. It makes me tired thinking about it. Rereading Starlight Web helped.

Right now it is lovely in San Antonio- cool and trying to rain.

Unfortunately we lost a tree and other plants to the snow storm in February.

But the catnip in the back yard survived. Watching my 1 year old cat Trey Coyote playing on it as I type.

I am sorry you can’t get vaccinated yet. One of my husband’s doctors doesn’t let anyone in waiting room in unless patient needs caretaker. I send notepad with questions and space for answers.
    1) he had a bad memory when we meet 30 years ago.
    2) we all get nervous or forget to tell doctor if we have pain or reaction to new meds.

As soon as I can I’m getting vaccinated for him and others. Looking forward to Conjure Web. I will need it more because were doing new routine at work that will cause more work and stress for my team.

    Be well.

Actually, it’s likely I can’t get vaccinated at all. My MCAS is so rough and reactive that I would really be putting myself in danger just having the vaccine.

My trees are getting bushy which means the leaves are budding (when looked at from a distance). I checked my lower dogwood branches…and yes leaves are appearing there. The rosebushes are also putting out leaves. And my red car is turning yellow (pollen). The clover in the lawn is putting out flowers. (I use the green clover to keep yard green until the grass comes up and pushes out the clover). But I will have to have the grass cut by April. Meanwhile I am okay. Had both vaccine shots and no major problems. The site itched like hell for about 5 days, then disappeared. All the cats are happy. Actually had the windows open for a whole afternoon last week. I only do that when it is clear and above 75. Pollen may have come in, but so did fresh air, which smelled good (remember 8 cats=10 litter boxes). Only bad thing is my BFF Did a swan dive and broke ribs and leg….still in hospital tooo far away to visit. sigh.

I got my second vaccine shot yesterday. Am feeling a bit tired and achy today, especially after attending two zoom meetings for retired teacher divisions this morning. Took a long nap and after checking my emails will go to bed. I’ll still go for walks in the neighborhood and chat with neighbors but won’t be going out for a while. I’m taking baby steps.
I’m enjoying watching the birds in my backyard getting free lunch from the bird feeders. I even have a couple of hummingbirds. That’s enough entertainment fo right now.
    Good luck with your neighbors.

I just got my first dose of my vaccine shot, but I’m still not going to attend the Lick-Thy-Neighbor meeting next door. I take that back, I’m never going to attend that meeting (not that I ever went…)
Soon, I will go to the gym again, but I’ll still work out at home. I will be careful, of course. Even with the vaccine, I can still be an infectious carrier of Covid, and there are still strains resistant to the vaccines. There will be a few more waves of Covid, and vaccines, count on it. The world will be at this for a while longer.
I work at home, supporting my wife. Yay!

It’s early in week and work is already crazy but at least Friday is a day off for me so I can do doctor appointments and such since they *think* I have a chronic sinus infection but with my health history of migraines and such they want to make sure it’s nothing else. I am ready for warmer weather and sunshine but alas herein Western New York, Mother Nature is determined to give us wind, snow and more.

It’s still early in the week, but yesterday I took my Mom to her diabetes doctor appointment. She’s going to be trying a lower dosage of Trulicity when we do our shots on Friday. She got the call this morning that her A1C is still 6.9% which is good for someone of her age (74). Today & tomorrow are just “getting things done around the house” days (laundry tomorrow). Thursday I have an appointment with a Urologist as a follow up to a kidney infection I had a week or so ago, and to get x-rays to see what my kidney stones are doing. (When I went to an urgent care center to find out what was making me sick, they did x-rays & found a 3-4mm stone in the tube going from my kidney to my bladder on my right side, & a 15mm stone in my left kidney. I may have passed the smaller stone, but I’m not sure about the bigger one.) Friday is grocery shopping day, Saturday is errand day, & Sunday is laundry day again.
