Each Saturday I will be answering some reader questions. So here we go!
Missy Fuhrman asks: I loved the Indigo Court series. Does she plan on doing a continuation with the daughters?
A: Hi, Missy! No, I have no plans to continue the series at this point. If I did, I would probably write about Cicely again.
Katy Parker asks: I would love to know how she writes. I use a pen and paper for my first drafts, then I type. Does she use a computer the whole time or does she handwrite?
A: Hello Katy. I write solely with a computer. For one thing, I write far too fast to write by hand. And with severe tendonitis, I can no longer write by hand without pain except for something like a quick note, signing books—and poetry, I write poetry by hand.
Natasha Jones asks: Shall Yasmine receive notifications when her published works/books are purchased from sites / stores other than that of Mystery Book Shop ….stories / sites such as Amazon / Barnes and Noble…or other sources? Many thanks.
A: Hello Natasha. For my traditionally published work, I do not know who buys what where. And royalty statements show the numbers of books bought, but not where. So I have no idea who buys my books where. For self-published work, yes, I would know how many books were bought where, but not who bought them.
Another question from Natasha: Where shall the inspiration be derived for creating the most vivid adventurous storylines?
A: I get inspiration from just about everywhere. My mind is always working, and I have a lot of nightmares, which are great fodder for some of the villains and battle scenes. In fact, my dreams were running riot when I was first envisioning the Whisper Hollow Series.
Katy Parker asks: I have a question for the artist that does Yasmine’s book covers. Are those photos, CGI or paintings/drawings. Also, does the artist use models? If so, who are used for Camille Delilah and Menolly?
A: Hi Katy. Tony does use models, then works on the artwork digitally. I have no idea who the models for Camille and Menolly are, but I have done an interview with the model for Delilah in the distant past. You can find that interview here: Interview With Marie.
Okay, that’s it for now. Check in next Saturday for more reader questions!
