Peggin  AThorns5

All this month I’m going to be introducing you to characters for my upcoming Whisper Hollow series. I have not been this excited about writing a series since I started Otherworld. Don’t get me wrong, I love the other work that I’ve written, but the Whisper Hollow series and its characters launched themselves into my dreams. Literally. The characters and spirits that inhabit the world keep me awake at night, and they talk to me in my dreams. I’m extremely excited about this series — yes it is a slightly different direction than my urban fantasy, but I think it’s stronger than anything I’ve written.

So this week, I am introducing you to Peggin Sanderson. Kerris’s best friend from high school, Peggin is the one person Kerris stayed in touch with since she left Whisper Hollow. Peggin is a love goddess—or at least, she has the energy of one. She works as a medical receptionist for Whisper Hollow’s hunky doctor, Corbin Wallace. And Peggin is a computer whiz, as well as being a pretty good aim with a pistol. Ready to dive in and help out, Peggin’s a quirky, retro, loyal friend who has ferrets for pets—Frith and Folly—who is ready and willing to face danger along with her friends.

Whisper Hollow is available for preorder. You can preorder signed copies from Seattle Mystery Bookshop—try to get your orders in before October 27, so they have enough copies. And remember, I will be having a book launch party at Seattle Mystery Bookshop on October 31st at Noon, and I will be signing in Beaverton OR, and Bellevue WA. See Appearances page.

UK readers: note, I have a UK publisher now, so there will be a version released simultaneously there.

That picture is wonderful! Way back when I was built like that, but unfortunately it was during the time of ‘Charlie’s Angels’ and ‘Baywatch’ so I couldn’t find clothes to fit and felt like a huge cow. Sometimes I look back and just shake my head at all those times when I felt so hugely overweight. Now I know the reality thanks to illness. If you know someone who is chronically ill and want to understand better, here’s an article that may help. I hope Yasmine doesn’t mind me including this, if so just ask and I will remove it. Take care and be well. http://www.butyoudontlooksick.com/articles/written-by-christine/the-spoon-theory/

Sexy, I like that she has ferrets. I am looking forward to the release. Have it pre-ordered, so it will drop into my device upon release. I have to learn to take my time reading, as I am always sad when I finish. But, I will try to wait patiently for your next creations. Wishing you a blessed weekend and wonder Samhaim / Hallow’een.

As Alice said in Wonderland, ” ..curiouser and curiouser..” That’s how I get every time you introduce a character or leave an excerpt. It’s also why I read everything you write! 🙂

I like the sound of her & that pic brings to mind the character Penelope from the TV show Criminal Minds! “Sanderson” makes me think of the witchy sisters in the old Halloween film Hocus Pocus starring Bette Midler! 🙂
