What is it with cats and heights? I had a cat who loved to climb ladders, no matter how tall, and then “request” help getting down. My current cat Pierre is happy with his cat furniture, thank goodness.
Cats feel less vulnerable when they’re up high. It gives them a sense of dominance. Luckily, our cats pretty much get down without help.
It seemed like such a grand idea! Until, of course, it’s time to get down.
Is she talkative when she requests your help?
Or, “Hey Mom the view is awesome from up here!”
Actually, when they get up on the hutch over my desk, I’m always nervous they’re going to jump down onto me. But they get there by bouncing off the printer to the side of the hutch. LOL They don’t say much, but it’s a great place to hang out and look down on mom. 🙂
