One of the things that irritates me most is an author–especially a well-established author–claiming that someone’s writing process is procrastination because *they* believe it’s a certain way.
If your writing process works best when you jump over a candlestick, then turn around three times counterclockwise and scream BOO at the ceiling, then that works for you. Don’t let any author tell you that you’re WRONG for approaching your work in a certain way. If it works, it works. Period.
If your characters talk to you–they talk to you. If you can’t outline but the story/book works out just right in the end, then don’t mess with it.
